Sounds like you are having a wonderful time - you have to love paradise - I am glad you guys finally got some beer money - the turtles looked so cute - jenn are you eating fish tacos - wow good for you - love reading your blog - more people are reading and i told them to start making comments - you both picked a wonderful time to travel things are pretty dismal - Daddy went to the Hunt yesterday and said there weren't as many people - stores are empty - you can get right into restaurants too - even daddy said you guys picked a good time to travel - wishing you love and happiness - Mommy
Jen-It is Elise, your trip sounds great, I am jealous. Are you going to Tulum? Joe and I met at Cabanas Don Armando. Very rustic accomodations on the beach. Elise
hi
here's e-mail as requested (we've been working, moving sorrel, decorating and had our hols, well 3 fab days in bilbao)
sorry to hear you're trapped in a shit hole (well what do you expect from a british army training ground!!...other than cheap beer and cheaper girls!!)Hope the weather subsides and you get on your way, better luck with country 3. KEEP SAFE and look after each other.
Love dad xxxx
It is such a shame that the idyllic times have disappeared for no but I am sure they will come back soon. We think about you lots and miss you terrifically but are happy as long as you are safe and look after each other.
Dad and I escaped to Bilbao after a solid week of physical work moving Sorrel (with Steve's help) and then we had to paint the old house to prevent losing the deposit. We came home, ate and went to bed only to have to get up and start all over again in the morning. We are getting too old for such intense activity!
Bilbao was fabulous and the Guggenheim just the most amazingly beautiful building I have ever seen. Loved the cafe/bar culture there too. The Basques have their version of tapas (pintxos) and they also enjoy the txikiteo which is a Basque institution, a bar crawl involving the frequent eating of pintxos. Fantastic! Here the wine, beer and pintxos are small but it allows you to go from bar to bar trying different things.
It is a very laid back, safe city hemmed in by mountains and is just the right size for a long weekend. You'd love it.
I hope you get this message soon nad are not totally cut off from the outside world by the flooding.
Sorrel should get her BT line installed on Friday and then she will be able to get in touch. She is enjoying her new job and is getting lots of praise (and being fast tracked through the training). Jamie is loving her new school and house and has settled amazingly well. She is still a delight.
Love you lots
Mum xxx
