Oli and I lucked out. We were walking by our local camera shop in Westwood, and saw a poster with beautiful phots from around the world. It was advertising a digital travel photography seminar- what could be more perfect? We will be taking thousands of pictures over the next year in the most beautiful places on earth. It is always such a shame that incredible beauty is rarely captured with the average camera, letalone the average photographer. Of course, we immediately went inside and signed up. The lecturer is a teacher at UCLA, and also provides stock photos for advertising and occasional publication. If anyone ever needs a reason as to why we are leaving our jobs behind, looking at pictures like these will certainly put their doubts at bay. I am really excited to go to this. Hopefully this will help give us a better vision and technique so that we can slightly convey the beauty we will encounter, and come home with more than just memories.
